Showing Enthusiasm After the Interview

I love what I do! After a Career Options’ candidate interviews with a client, I will ask how it went, why the person feels it is a good fit, etc. Most times they go well but it is wonderful to get replies that are thoughtful, personal and energetic. Here is an email I received today and I even shared it with my client. He gave me permission to share:

“My interest in the Part time accounts payable position is a 10. ——– is a vibrant and growing company with opportunities to learn more about the truck industry and grow within the company. At the interview, I felt a very cordial and friendly atmosphere that makes wanting to come to work everyday and be part of the team to help drive success.

Based on my past 35 years of experiences and qualifications, I can bring to this company accounting knowledge in accounts payable, accounts receivable and other financial accounting processes as noted by the following demonstrated accomplishments:

-Monitored and control the invoicing to customer for the suppliers Empire Seafood Group and all other drop ship suppliers using Pro ERP System. Comparing customer received information with supplier shipped and invoiced. Resolving any invoicing issues with suppliers.

-Process weekly supplier payable invoices for all direct-ship orders totaling $2.5 million weekly

-Managed 800 customers and regional service managers in the southern US regional group, providing dedicated follow-up resulting in reduction of past due aging by .5% or $500,000 within 3 months.

In addition to my experience and qualifications that would make me a great fit for this position, I would bring the technical and analytical skills, computer adaptability, attention to detail, and team work necessary to get the job done.”

This certainly is better than a simple one line, “Yes, I am very interested.” Way to go to my candidateĀ
