Description:
This is a temp to hire (possibly direct hire) position for a machinist. This growing shop has been restoring exotic and vintage racing cars for 20 years! This is a specialized automotive company of 20 employees. The company has 2 CNC milling machines and 2 CNC lathes. Because many of the automotive parts are no longer in existence, create customized parts as well as do general production pieces. You will be assisting the CNC programmer in this position where it is essential to find the correct tooling, decide on the metal, order the material, complete the design work, and create unique parts. This is a machinist/machine operator role.
Qualifications:
Candidate must have at least one year on the job machinist experience operating CNC equipment. Experience with Cad Cam, strong mechanical and problem solving skills. Must be eager, able to work alone and be a real go getter. Excellent measuring skills needed as well as strong attention to detail/accuracy.
Hours:
Approx. 7am-3:30pm..
Pay:
Pay: $15.00 per hour to start
