Our client will consider Direct Hire candidates and Temp-to-Hire candidates for a very successful company in Appleton with a solid record of growth and employee longevity.
The Mechanic/Technician will be responsible for servicing and repairing of truck mounted hydraulic equipment including aerials, digger derricks, cranes, loaders, winches, lift gates, reel loaders, etc. They may be willing to train a candidate who has completed a Tech program in automotive, transmission, trucking, fork lift or heavy equipment areas. Strong work ethic, attitude and skills required.
Qualifications:
2-3 years’ experience in vehicle service repair is strongly preferred in the areas of automotive, transmission, trucking, fork lift or heavy equipment industries. (They will also consider those who only have Tech schooling in the above areas and no work experience, as long as candidate has excellent skills/attitude.) Experience in light and medium duty truck chassis mechanical skills, hydraulics and chassis electrical are helpful but not required. Welding and fabrication skills are a plus. Drug test is required before first day. Basic tools are required for this position. Physical and drug test required if candidate is hired.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record needed
Education:
Tech school is preferred, but will consider training the right candidate. Training for this position will be six to twelve months (depending on experience).
Hours:
Dayshift position Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day (temp to hire).
Regular full time employees work occasional overtime during the week. Approx hours are 6:00am-2:30pm.
Pay:
$17.00 to $19.00 per hour to start (possibly more for the right candidate), depending on experience.
