Description:
This is a full time, Direct Hire Drafter / CAD Operator opening. The shop in the Appleton does mostly customized work.
Create technical illustrations/documents for fabrication environment using designs, plans and specifications supplied.
1. Prepare technical drawings and documentation for fabrication, assembly and installation processes.
2. Create bill of material (BOM) required for material procurement.
3. Assure that all work leaving the design department has been prepared according to customer approvals and fabrication specifications.
4. Interact with others to efficiently bring all processes of a project to completion.
Additional Responsibilities:
Occasionally this position will overlap with conceptual design. There will be opportunity to offer input and make recommendations at this level.
Being in a small business environment it may be necessary to perform duties outside this job description. Employee should be ready and willing to contribute in whatever way necessary to ensure a quality and efficient outcome to any process or project.
Qualifications:
Minimum (1) year prior experience and knowledge of programs such as AutoCAD, CorelDraw, Illustrator, etc…
Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills.
Work independently and make sound, logical, decisions.
Hours:
First shift, M-F.
Pay:
15-17.00/hour
