Description:
This is a part time, temporary bindery operator position for our Appleton client (possible temp/hire for the right candidate). This position is ideal for someone who has strong customer service skills and some printing industry experience. Bindery experience is helpful but certainly not required. Additional duties and hours may be given if someone also has InDesign, Quark, PhotoShop, etc experience and/or graphic design.
BINDERY OPERATOR
Primary responsibilities:
Operate cutter/trimmer
Operate folder
Operate drill press
Operate Duplo booklet maker
Operate Duplo Collator
Operate Rollem Scoring/Numbering/Perforating equipment
Operate heat laminating equipment
Operate copiers (Canon and Xerox)
Serve as a back up for Pre-Press area
Qualications
Strong work ethic, excellent customer service exp and general printing industry knowledge. Bindery experience is helpful but certainly not required. InDesign, Quark, PhotoShop, etc experience and/or graphic design is very helpful in this role.
Hours:
Approximately 20-25 hours per week between the hours of 8am-5pm. They are seeking someone who is flexible to work during these hours of operation. If candidate has prepress software/graphic design experience as well as some bindery, they can offer 25-30 hours per week.
Pay:
$ 9-12.00/hour (9-10.00 for more entry level. $11-12 for someone with bindery and graphic design/pre press exp.)
