Description:
This is a direct hire Parts Manager position available in Appleton. Possible bonus of up the $200.00 paid by Career Options if candidate has strong work ethic and attendance after 30 days.* This company of 25 employees is looking for an experienced hard working person to manage 4 people in the parts dept.
Duties: Procure and order all parts for Truck Equipment to be installed. Works with Shop Manager to insure all parts are on hand in timely manner to efficiently serve customers.
Promote parts sales to existing customers and prospects.Â
Inventory management:
Evaluate existing and potential product lines to meet customer needs and maximize profitability.
Maintain inventory levels in a cost effective manner
Perform periodic physical inventory to insure stock levels and computer information is as planned
Shipping and receiving management
Routine procedures for office with small staff:
Answering phones when necessary (overload and back up coverage)
Serve walk in and call in customers
 Specific Initiatives and Objectives
Snow (small) Plow strategy to include:
Purchasing of parts
Improving and leading the sub distributor program
Improve over the counter parts sales, to include:
Web site exposure - Help design web site
Parts bulletins - Handouts, mailers, etc.
Pro Active marketing in slower times
E Commerce opportunities
Pro actively work on parts bids with various municipalities
Train in truck equipment (self and staff) by:
Meeting with and learning from Regional sales reps
Visits to suppliers' manufacturing facilities
Completion of Force America QFSI training
Western/Fisher (Sales and Service factory schooling)
Organize the Parts department
Supplier catalogues and literature well organized
Paper flow (daily) visibly organized
Software Implementation and Training
Learn and utilize the current software to track and maintain inventory
Define needs for implementation of new software system. (MAS 90)
Provide adequate controls for stock parts and shop parts
Qualifications:
Minimum Experience and Background:
Parts experience is required.                         Â
Experience in supervising others
Associates degree in related field is helpful.
Work experience with auto, truck, farm equipment or related field helpful.
Basic computer skills (preferably Microsoft office skills)
Solid knowledge of fluid power
Professional curiosity and willingness to improve status quo
Positive approach to addressing customers' needs
Analytical ability and interest in improving information flow
Hours:
Approximately 7am-5pm
Pay:
$45-50k
