Description:
This is a long term position; possibly temp/hire for a Military Tire Assembler. This is a valued position because the technical aspects of assembling a tire for Military use can save lives across seas! This company has 60 employees and values a safe and clean work environment. The candidate may be hired on after 90 days or it could possibly be 6 months-1 year before they are able to make a final decision based on contracts received.
In this role, you will mount tires on two piece wheels in a variety of sizes and applications. Some require use of a half or three quarter inch air gun. Other assemblies require the same, as well as a 10,000 lbs press to help secure the lid of the assembly. They have several different areas of the plant that assemble a variety of tire and wheel assemblies for the different vehicles the Military use. In each area you will have 6 to 12 co-workers to work with. You may be trained in each area of the plant for a more diverse job. Although there may be days that you have the same task each day, there will be many days that you may be in several different areas for work. It is a vary hands on job that requires a self driven desire to stay busy and complete goals. This is a physical job that requires lifting, bending, pushing, and working well with a team. (If employee has CDL, they may be asked to help occasionally pick up and deliver goods.)
Qualifications:
Continuous lifting of up to 50 pounds and Steel toed boots are required.
Excellent attendance and work ethic needed
Warehouse, general labor, or labor intensive job experience is helpful for this position.
CDL and Forklift experience are helpful but not required.
This position needs a true team player!
Company supplies safety glasses and back braces.
Hours:
6am-2:30pm
Pay:
$10.00 to start (possibility of $1.00 raise after 90 days on Career Options payroll. Strong attendance and work ethic required. If candidate gets hired, they offer Health & Life insurance, 401k, Flex Spending, vacation after one year and sick time.
