This company in the Fox Valley is seeking a temp-to-hire Flexo Press Operator to work third shift. A Flexo Press Operator is responsible for manufacturing quality printed product on a made to order basis dependent upon customer specifications. This is accomplished through the efficient operation of a flexo press. Duties are varied and include setting up the press according to job specifications, assuring product is produced to highest quality standards, and accurately packaging and labeling product.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Review customer orders and specifications.
Perform all duties related to the press. (examples: Set up, installing dies, mix ink, daily maintenance, etc.)
Set up and run press making necessary adjustments to press to correct any quality control problems or deviations from specifications making certain production meets highest quality standards.
Produce order to plan. Set up press in allotted time and operate press to planned yield in order to satisfy scheduling demands.
Set up and operation of Ion Deposition equipment.
Maintain a safe and orderly work environment. Perform daily preventative maintenance on the press.
Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
Offer recommendations as to how to improve pressroom efficiency.
Perform all other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

Technical degree in related field and/or Minimum of 3 years flexographic operator experience.
Drug test and physical required
Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to set up, run, clean up and ensure quality of jobs.
Strong mechanical aptitude. Troubleshoot equipment and make on-line adjustments.
Ability to understand and follow instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts such as box/carton/skid quantities. Ability to measure accurately. Understanding of sequential numbering.
Moderate to heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs) for installing dies.
Willingness to wear personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures.
Ability to meet deadlines.

Hours:

3rd shift. The hours would be 10:55pm to 6:55am Sunday Night - Thursday Night.

Pay:

Approximately $14-18.00/hour, depending on experience.
